How can you help?

The Open Door is a registered Public Benefit Organisation (Section 18A). This means your generous support will qualify you for a section 18a Tax deduction. This means your gift will save you tax on up to 10% of your taxable income. We are also level one BEE compliant for our Business supporters to benefit from their scorecards.

There are so many ways you can help us make a difference.

Help us build a sustainable income that we can count on by committing to a monthly amount by sponsoring counselling sessions, play therapy or food & a room for a victim of abuse or human trafficking in one of our shelters from as little as R100. You can do this by setting up a recurring payment or making an ad-hoc donation.

LEAVE A LEGACY IN YOUR WILL:

We ask that you consider investing in your community by leaving a lasting legacy to The Open Door Crisis Care Centre so that we are empowered to continue restoring lives.

My School

When last did you check on your account?  Are you still assisting a Primary School your kids attended?  If you know your ID number, you can quickly change your beneficiary here…

MySchool is South Africa’s number one community support programme that raises and delivers essential funding to schools and charities in South Africa. This enables members of the community to participate in the future development of the nation in a sustainable way, without taking money directly from their pocket.

When you purchase items from participating retailers, swipe your card with the purchase. A small percentage of your transaction is then allocated to The Open Door. All these transactions are recorded and a statement is sent to you on a monthly basis so that you can see the difference you are making.
